Try To Die
A downloadable game for Windows
TryToDie – A Puzzle Game About Death and Escape
You wake up alone in a silent, abandoned city.
No people. No answers. Just time, space—and the feeling that you've been here before.
The world doesn’t change. The buildings stay the same.
But after every death, a new note appears—written in your voice, from a life you no longer remember.
TryToDie is a first-person puzzle game about figuring out how to break the cycle.

From the Developer
TryToDie started as a personal, experimental project. I documented it through devlogs, shared progress, but eventually lost motivation.
Now it’s back—playable, not polished, but filled with the lore I always intended. It may not be perfect, but it’s complete. It’s the game I wanted to make. But it's not the game I always wanted it to be.
It’s on Itch.io because I wanted to end this.

I couldn't figure out how to interact with anything but the refrigerator door and the toilet seat (once). I keep pressing E on objects, aiming the reticle at it, but nothing happens
Thanks for the feedback!
You can pick up items using F, and then interact with certain objects using Right Mouse Button while holding them.
The toilet seat can be opened, but you might need to step back a little to find the right spot – the interaction distance can be a bit picky at the moment.
I really appreciate you taking the time to try it out, and I’ll definitely look into improving the interaction system to make it clearer and more responsive!
